ALC64’s Ramp Project and Joint Project with AHLC113

Education is the focus for Gujarat

Gujarat Padegaa, Aage Badegaa!

Joint projects are a great way to complete projects- this shows the companionship between two groups of people and it also achieves more as there is more manpower and funds. Ahmedabad Heritage Ladies Circle 113 (AHLC113) and Ahmedabad Ladies Circle 64 (ALC64) have jointly contributed to the Andh Apang Kalyan Kendra in Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad. The school, which is for disabled children, has 140 students who get primary, secondary and higher education along with vocational courses. The aim of the trust is to make these students, who come from extremely poor families, to become teachers or independent workers.

A ramp to a better future

Building a better future

The Ladies Circle 64 has built a ramp in the school, which was the most important requirement at that time. The circles Lc64 and 113 have also donated ceiling fans and blackboards as and when required by the school. This is a long term project of the circles and they are proud that it received the National Award for Best Service to Disabled People. I would like to thank the circlers and Mr.Shailesh Patel (Coordinator) for showing me the school.

The Proud team of ALC and AHLC
